Boat trip with Birdwatching

In the company of a nature guide, on this boat trip you will discover why the Ria Formosa was elected one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal. And because birds are one of the ex-libris of this Park, on this tour they deserve a special mention.
Considered one of the most important wetlands for waterfowl in Portugal, along the tour we can observe birds such as the white stork (Ciconia ciconia), the white heron (Egretta garzetta) and the spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia).
The tour continues towards one of the islands in the Natural Park, passing by oyster and clam ponds.

Towards one of the points where the estuary meets the sea, we will stop for you to enjoy a paradisiacal place. This is an important breeding ground for the dwarf tern (Sterna albifrons) and the interrupted-collared plover (Charadrius alexandrinus). In winter, terns (Sterna sandvicensis) and flamingos (Phoenicopterus roseus) are often seen here.

On the way back, we will have many opportunities to observe other species of birds as the boat navigates calmly through the channels of this Natural Park towards the city of Faro.
