Alejandro Marque wins the most important stage of the Volta a Portugal with the support of AP Maria Nova Lounge

With an advantage of 51 seconds over his rivals, Alejandro Marque won the stage of the Volta a Portugal em Bicicleta (Tour of Portugal) Santander, Sertã-Covilhã. The cyclist of the Atum General/Tavira/Maria Nova Hotel team arrived alone at the finish line of the most important stage of the race, and felt the support of hundreds of spectators.
Born in Pontevedra, Spain, 39-year-old Alejandro Marque was the winner of the Volta a Portugal in 2013 and after this victory and securing the yellow jersey, he is closer to repeating the accomplishment. The athlete is part of the team sponsored by AP Maria Nova Lounge, unit of the AP Hotels & Resorts Group, in Tavira, who is proud of the rendering and performance during this stage that many consider to be the most difficult.
This is the 82nd edition of the Volta a Portugal and it started on the 4th of August and ends next Sunday, the 15th.
