Primavera Sound Porto
In 2026, from June 11 to 14, another edition of one of Portugal’s biggest festivals will take place: Primavera Sound Porto.
This festival was born in 2012, as an offshoot of Primavera Sound Barcelona, and is held at Parque da Cidade.
The festival brings together internationally renowned artists with emerging Portuguese music talents.
With an eclectic lineup that mixes various musical styles, Primavera Sound Porto has established itself as a national reference festival, alongside Rock In Rio, Nos Alive, Vodafone Paredes de Coura, and Vilar de Mouros.
Evidence of this is the more than 100,000 visitors the festival attracts per edition, coming from different countries.
The venue gives the festival a unique atmosphere, as Parque da Cidade is a green and natural space.

What to bring to the Primavera Sound Porto festival

Since the Primavera Sound Porto festival takes place in June, it’s natural to wonder what to wear, as it’s the end of spring but the summer heat hasn’t fully arrived yet.
Our first piece of advice is to bring a jacket for the evening, as June nights in Porto can be cool.
However, don’t forget sunscreen and a hat, as daytime temperatures can reach around 25°C (77°F), and you risk getting sunburned.
Also, bring a reusable water bottle (allowed inside the venue) and refill it throughout the day at the many water stations available around the festival grounds.
Finally, wear comfortable clothing and shoes, since it’s a festival. Festivals are for dancing and jumping, and formal attire is definitely not the most comfortable choice for that.
