Sines World Music Festival
If you visit this Alentejo town in the last days of July, you have the opportunity to go to the Sines World Music Festival.
The event takes place in the historic areas of the city and is set against the backdrop of the beauty and authenticity of the Vincentian coast.
The festival has 5 stages spread across Sines Castle, Avenida Vasco da Gama, the Arts Center, Pátio das Artes and the village of Porto Covo, where various artists linked to “world music” perform, from folk to jazz, alternative music and traditional songs from various corners of the world.
Renowned artists such as Taraf de Haidouks, Black Uhuru feat. Sly & Robbie, Hedningarna, Kronos Quartet and The Skatalites have performed here.
Above all, it’s a festival that promotes diversity and showcases different cultures through music.
