Tavira Offshore Classic 2022 – Marlin cup

The Tavira Offshore Classic fishing tournament took place this weekend in Tavira, a competition open to pelagic species such as Blue Espadins, White Espadins, Tunas and Dorados, which will be, once again, in full frenzy in our waters.
The tournament had the participation of several teams from different countries, and of course our Portuguese teams.
We welcome elite teams from the Big Game Fishing National Circuit, as well as the classic teams that started 20 years ago.
The tournament is based on the fishing action “Cath & Release” to preserve the species if the fish is released, the team got double the points.
It is a sustainable fishery, with exceptions where the fish does not survive the fight.
The event culminated with a dinner and awards ceremony at AP Cabanas Beach & Nature.
A national deep-sea fishing competition was also taking place during these days.
