António Parente agrees with a partnership with the Fecomércio RN System

It was on October 6th that António Parente, chairman of the AP Hotels & Resorts Group, met with Marcelo Queiroz, President of the Fecomércio RN System for a meeting with the board and technicians of Senac RN’s tourism and hospitality sector.
One of the topics discussed was the continuation of the work exchange for students trained at Senac, the National Service for Commercial Training.
This year alone, one of the Group’s hotels received seven students trained in the field of gastronomy, through Senac Empregabilidade, a free service that aims to guide students who are accepted at Senac for internship or permanent vacancies.
For António Parente, this year’s signings exceeded expectations and that’s why this meeting showed the possibility of amplifying this partnership. With the situation that our country is going through in a more complicated phase with a lack of specialized manpower, this approach helps both the hotel and the people.
Marcelo Queiroz, on the other hand, is grateful for the opportunity that Portugal offers to professionals, “this is an acknowledgment that we are on the right path towards economic development”.
