The Algarve Orchestra and AP Eva Senses Hotel join forces for an evening filled with great music and fine dining

On October 30, the AP Eva Senses Hotel in Faro will host a special evening combining classical music and gastronomy in a dinner concert with the Algarve Orchestra, conducted by Pablo Urbina and featuring cellist Mikhail Shumov, principal cellist of the orchestra.

The program—entitled “O Fogo que vem do Frio” (The Fire that Comes from the Cold)—offers a musical journey marked by expressiveness and romanticism, with works by Mozart, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Schubert. The evening begins with the overture to the opera Don Giovanni, in which Mozart introduces the elements that would give rise to the romantic aesthetic. This is followed by Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto, performed by Mikhail Shumov, in a reading marked by the intensity and lyricism of the score. The concert closes with Schubert’s 1st Symphony, composed when the author was only 16 years old — a piece that clearly reveals his surprising musical maturity.

Dinner will be served afterwards and includes a three-course menu, specially paired with wines from Quinta de São Sebastião, creating a complete sensory experience in an elegant and intimate setting.

This is a cultural event designed for those who value complete experiences, where classical music and gastronomy come together in one place.

An evening to discover, listen to, and savor.
