AP HOTELS & RESORTS CERTIFIED WITH GREEN KEY IN 9 HOTELS
AP Hotels & Resorts group has once again been awarded Green Key certification across nine of its ten hotel properties, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and to promoting more responsible tourism in Portugal.
Located across the Algarve, Alentejo and the north of the country, the certified properties reflect the group’s ongoing commitment to sustainable practices, built on the efficient management of natural resources, the reduction of the environmental impact of its operations, and raising awareness among staff and guests to encourage more conscious behaviour.
The one property not included in this year’s certification is AP Aeroporto Porto, the group’s newest addition, which was acquired in mid-2025 and was therefore unable to meet the application deadlines for this cycle. Its participation is already planned for the next edition, with the aim of extending this distinction to all of the group’s properties.
Established by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and coordinated in Portugal by the Associação Bandeira Azul de Ambiente e Educação (ABAAE), Green Key is one of the most prestigious international awards in sustainable tourism, recognising establishments that uphold high standards of environmental and social performance and drive continuous improvement in their sustainability practices.
