Acquisition of another hotel unit from the Portofolio AP Hotels & Resorts
The AP Hotels & Resorts Group announces the acquisition of another hotel!
At the end of 2025, the acquisition of the OPO Hotel Porto Aeroporto, located next to Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto, was formalized, officially joining the AP HOTELS & RESORTS network.
With this step, the Portuguese hotel group, owned by the Madre Group, expands its number of hotel units to 10, reinforcing its presence in Northern Portugal where it already has the AP Dona Aninhas in Viana do Castelo. This acquisition strengthens its presence in the national market, further strengthening the brand, which also has 2 units in the Alentejo and 6 units in the Algarve.
The hotel will now be called AP Aeroporto Porto and features a distinctive structure and a strategic location that perfectly complement the Group’s portfolio. This unit offers 64 rooms & suites as well as a restaurant/bar, parking, and conference rooms. The location is premium in relation to the airport, being only 500 meters away. It offers a shuttle service and is served by a metro line next to the property. The distance is approximately 10 km to the city of Porto.
The process of fully integrating the property into the AP Hotels & Resorts group will now begin, ensuring that the network’s quality, hospitality, and service standards are successfully implemented.
