AP Maria Nova Lounge Inspires Poet
Poet Susana Santos presented her new book, Um Toque Suspiro, on Monday, 22nd, at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library in Tavira. The event was introduced by Dinis Faísca, member of the Tavira Municipal Assembly, and attended by Xisco Homs, Director of AP Maria Nova Lounge, as well as actor and theatre director Luís Vicente, among others.
During the presentation, the poet read several of her poems, including If It Were Christmas Tonight, which was inspired by AP Maria Nova:
“And the night, still cold,
Leads me to beautiful Maria,
With its endless view
Over enchanted stretches of water.”
The reference to AP Maria Nova reflects the unique atmosphere of the hotel and its breathtaking views over Tavira—features that set the property apart and have inspired, and continue to inspire, poetic creativity.
