AP Oriental Beach available on the Visit Portimão mobile application
From now on, AP Oriental Beach can be found on the mobile application Visit Portimão, the latest platform to promote the region’s tourism offer created by the Associação Turismo de Portimão (ATP). The application can be downloaded from the App Store (IOS) or Google Play (Android) and is available in 5 languages (Portuguese, English, Spanish, German and French).
The Visit Portimão application offers quick access, via smartphone, to information on the destination’s tourism offer in the area of Beaches, Nature, Heritage, Gastronomy, Sports, Leisure, Business and Accommodation, where the AP Oriental Beach can be found.
It allows quick and intuitive access to the booking channels of the associated accommodation units, checking the distance the visitor is from each attraction or service, with the possibility of viewing it on Google Maps, direct contact via telephone or email the associated service providers and that reviews and ratings of services or attractions are posted. Users can also set attractions or services as favorites or enjoy Augmented Reality technology at the Municipal Tourism Office, as well as access information about events, weather, flights, service providers, among others. In addition, there is also the sending of push notifications with relevant information to all users of the application.
In order to offer a conscious and sustainable management of environmental resources, and in order to reduce the consumption of paper associated with the production of printed materials, it is possible to download in the application all tourist information materials produced by ATP such as guides, brochures, itineraries or maps.
