If you’d like to travel through Portugal from north to south, the N2 Route is the perfect journey for you.

Starting in Chaves and ending in Faro (or vice versa), this iconic route follows Portugal’s National Road 2 and is one of the longest roads in the world, surpassed only by Route 66 (USA) and Ruta 40 (Argentina).

Stretching for 739 km, the route can be travelled by car, motorbike, bicycle or even on foot.
