AP HOTELS & RESORTS GROUP PARTICIPATES IN STUDY ON “SILENT DISMISSAL” IN ALGARVE TOURISM

The Human Resources Director of the AP Hotels & Resorts Group, Elsa Guerreiro, was part of the round table for the presentation of the study on Tourism and Hospitality in the Algarve, presented on December 6th, in Loulé.

Several units of the AP Hotels & Resorts Group participated in the questionnaire prepared to develop the study prepared by the KIPT Association, Innovation and Tourism, Collaborative Laboratory, on “Silent Dismissal” in Tourism and Hospitality in the Algarve, which highlights “the impact of job dissatisfaction in talent retention.”

Several experts define “silent resignation” as a generalized feeling of dissatisfaction, resulting in a lack of commitment to work and a lack of intention to go beyond minimum obligations.

The study characterizes this phenomenon and explains its impact on talent retention in the hotel and tourism sector, based on a representative sample of tourism and hospitality professionals in the Algarve.

The main axes that contribute to the retention of professionals are identified: the organizational climate, the value of work, the social component, the feeling of belonging and levels of satisfaction.
