AP HOTELS & RESORTS/TAVIRA/ FARENSE HIGHLIGHTED IN THE MAJOR STAGES OF THE VOLTA A PORTUGAL

The rider from the AP Hotels & Resorts/Tavira/Farense team, Delio Fernandez, stood out in the two main stages of the 84th Volta a Portugal in cycling, with a victory on the Torre climb and a second place on the Senhora da Graça climb.

Delio Fernandez won the 5th stage, between Sertã and Covilhã, finishing on the Torre of Serra da Estrela, the queen stage, and wearing the yellow jersey that day.

The rider finished in second place in the 9th stage, between Paredes and the summit of Senhora da Graça, demonstrating himself as one of the best climbers in the Volta.

Delio Fernandez secured the 15th position in the overall classification of the 84th Volta a Portugal in cycling, while the AP Hotels & Resorts/Tavira/Farense team secured the 11th place in the team classification.
