If you wish to have a deeper connection with nature during your vacation in the Algarve, you must visit the Marim Environmental Education Center.

Here, you will find several observatories where you can witness many of the birds of the Ria Formosa in their natural habitat. From typical passerine birds of pine groves and orchards to aquatic species that inhabit the lagoon and salt marshes.

In addition to the observatories, the Marim Environmental Education Center offers a pedestrian trail that features exhibitions, dune crests, and ponds that you can observe while walking through the lagoon system.
