AP EVA SENSES IN THE MYSTIC OF EN2

The National Road 2- EN2, the longest in the country, with 739 kilometers, connecting Chaves to Faro, has become a mythical road, since it is the only one in Europe that crosses a country in its longitude.
With the construction of the various highways that connect the country from north to south, the EN2 – which dates from 1945, in its current version, lost importance, but gained its mystique, providing today an adventure that translates into crossing the northern country to the south, enjoying diverse landscapes and circulating through 35 municipalities, crossing 11 rivers and 11 mountains.
The old Estrada Real is now another tourist attraction in Portugal, which invites thousands of people a year to get to know it in its entirety and, in this way, get to know Portugal better.
Mário Isidoro, from Arruda dos Vinhos, wanted to make the trip even more typical and, therefore, decided to do it by tractor.
Being from Arruda dos Vinhos, and a pioneer in tractor travel along the EN2, Quinta de São Sebastião joined the initiative.
Mário Isidoro left Arruda dos Vinhos on the 26th of May, headed towards Chaves and arrived in Faro on the 4th of June, waiting for him at the AP EVA Senses, who offered the stay that gave him a well-deserved rest, councilor from the Municipality of Faro, Carlos Baía, and the hotel’s director, Pedro Alves, who marked the moment with the gift of the EN2 badge and the book commemorating the hotel’s 55th anniversary.
